Students will learn object-oriented programming concepts, create object-oriented software solutions and design graphical user interfaces. Using materials, processes and techniques commonly employed in these industries, students will participate in a number of hands-on projects that may include plant or animal propagation; production, maintenance and harvesting activities; the development of floral or landscaping designs; and/or related construction activities.

Students will also learn about computer environments and systems and explore environmental issues related to computers, safe computing practices, emerging technologies, and post-secondary opportunities in computer-related fields.This course introduces students to computer programming. Students will learn about the skills and attributes of enterprising employees, the distinguishing features of their work environments and the challenges and rewards of becoming an enterprising person. Student teams will manage a large software development project, from planning through to project review. Students will assemble, repair and configure computers with various types of operating systems and application software. 3.
