When I do a speed test using the Spectrum speed test web page it consistently comes back between 95 and 97 Mbps. Today I got a Spectrum upgrade to 400 Mbps Internet service; they took out their old Arris hardware and put in an Askey RAC2V1K router and Arris DOCSIS 3.1 modem. I just switched back to Spectrum after being with another provider for a year. Wired or Wireless offers internet access in Idaho, Montana, and Washington.

They told me they could test it. May resolve itself when you install the new NIC, but may want to grab the TCP Optimizer tool from speedguide.net: I did install Windows 10.  that being said I am now wondering if my NIC card is old eough it does not support anything faster than 100 Mbps.I just bought a new Dell laptop that only has a 10/100 NIC. New install of phone, TV and internet.

How can they say I am getting 500 Mbps to the modem but the speed test is less than 100? But when I connect either device, wired or wireless, to my Netgear which is then connected to the Askey, I'm only getting like 14 Mbps down - but also the full 24 Mpbs up!In the Netgear interface it says it's connected 100M/Full on the LAN port and my wired port I'm plugging my PC into.
the moterboard has no expansion slots and I tried a USB network connection and even though it was suppose to support 10/100/1000 it performed worse than my onboard card.I just switched back to Spectrum after being with another provider for a year. Not the cable. Be here Saturday.

And yes, I changed out my ethernet cable to the 6 foot brand new one that came with the router and received the exact same results. They said to test this I could plug my desktop (I am using ethernet cable, not wireless connection) directly into the modem bypassing the router to test the speed.
