Lacks a real commercial strip with amenities, but that is mitigated by its proximity to Columbia City and the Rainier Ave. corridor. While it's super close to a lot of things & has great direct routes downtown, to the transit station, & to the u district, bus service to some areas (cap hill/pike-pine/broadway) could be improved.I enjoy Queen Anne's central location. However it's a great central location for the city including the neighboring North end cities of Kenmore, Lake Forest Park, Shoreline & Bothell and the Kirkland, Juanita and Bellevue communities & Lake Washington if you have transportation all are within quick access.

I lived in Rainer Beach before moving and it is very differentWhat is so great about this neighborhood is that it is generally quiet and it feels safe. Public schools in the area are mediocre, so that could be a concern for younger families.Love this neighborhood!
